Journey of Music for Secondary Schools

"Journey of Music for Secondary Schools" is a series of Music textbooks for junior secondary schools students based on the "Arts Education Key Learning Area – Music Curriculum Guide (Primary 1 to Secondary 3)" published by the Curriculum Development Council of the Hong Kong Education and Manpower Bureau in 2003. The integrated music activities in the series are constructed with creating, performing (singing and instrumental playing) and listening to music, which are designed to achieve four Learning Targets: Developing creativity and imagination, Developing music skills and processes, Cultivating critical responses in music and Understanding music in context. The series can inspire students to become music lovers, creators and promoters.

Student's Interactive CD-ROM
Each book in the series is accompanied by an interactive CD-ROM which allows students to learn in a multimedia way. The contents include I.T. World (interactive games), SpeakerDict and Notation Software for self-assessment, self-learning and developing creativity.

Teacher's Interactive CD-ROM
Apart from the contents on Student's Interactive CD-ROM, each Teacher’s Interactive CD-ROM contains E-book, Scheme of Work, Listening Worksheets, Appraisal Tables, Additional Songs, Photo Album and Resources Station. All the materials are convenient and useful for teaching.

Audio CD
The listening repertoire, demonstrations, accompaniments and special arrangements are provided for learning and teaching.

Joyful Lessons Teaching Kit
Provides the printed copies on the Teachers' Interactive CD-ROMs, including Listening Worksheets, Project Guidelines, Appraisal Tables, IT Booklet, etc.
